Check it out below 👇
Q: How did you get into the visual effects/Animation industry?
A: In a galaxy far, far away, I started my career managing product development and business relationships for the media & entertainment division at Sprint, a telecommunications company. From there, I have managed business development from one facet to another across multiple visual art companies like the Room 8 Group and Autodesk.
During my youth, I was fortunate to have been around a family of artists and engineers. I had access to some of the very first PCs, gaming consoles, and graphic design/CAD software. Many different mediums of Art have had a place in my heart over the years.
Q: If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be?
A: If I could speak to my younger self… First, buy a lot of Google and Amazon stock. I would also say never doubt your abilities, never be afraid to stand out from the status quo, and never stop challenging yourself to learn and grow in new ways.
Q: Talk us through your favorite Technicolor Games project?
A: I am a huge God of War fan. I think the animation work we did for the last 2 titles is my favorite. I am also very proud of the work we have done with EA on their sports titles like FIFA, now FC24, Madden and UFC.
Q: What excited you the most about working at Technicolor Group?
A: The opportunity to be part of a company with such a rich culture and breadth of talented individuals. I look forward to contributing to our Re-Imagined initiatives and building on the great success the Technicolor Games studio team has already had.
Q: What are your predictions for the Gaming industry in 5 years?
A: I predict we will continue to see exceptional revenue growth in games over the next 5 years. I also believe we are embarking on another pivotal point in the history of hardware, graphics, and software, impacting the way we create. We will see advancements in AI and ML that will evolve our Art and Engineering pipelines. We will also see a move to common data models enabling us to seamlessly access and transfer content between an array of different platforms and software.
Q: Tell us something about your career that you are proud of.
A: I am most proud of the relationships that I have built in our industry and the impact I have left at each company that I have worked for. Things have not always come easy, I take a lot of pride in rolling up my sleeves and giving 100%.
Q: Anything else you’d like to add?
A: Outside of work, I am a dedicated father to two amazing and stinky teenagers. I indulge in my passion for flying airplanes as a private pilot. I’m an avid photographer and videographer when I can find the time and one of my cherished traditions is organizing an annual fishing trip to Alaska.
